Athletes for freedom

FOUNDATION

We are athletes, business people and other sports enthusiasts who believe that sports can be used for the greater good to promote freedom, social change and non-violent transformation of society. The financial support provided by the Foundation enables athletes all around the world to be truly sincere in the expression of their active social positions with regard to the opposition of violence, resistance to oppression and promotion of freedom.

Olha Saladukha

Ukrainian track and field athlete, Olympic bronze medalist, world champion, 6-time European champion, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine. People's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sports

Aliaksandr Apeikin

A political scientist with a solid background in professional handball as the founder of the Vityaz Handball Club (Minsk, Belarus), Aliaksandr also represented the EHF Champions League as a Marketing Supervisor. In August 2020, following the mass repression in Belarus that affected the entire nation, he established the Belarusian Sports Solidarity Foundation and became its CEO. As a Senior Advisor to the Athletes for Freedom Foundation, he promotes the goal of assisting athletes with an active social stance on the international stage

Andrei Krauchanka

Vital Hurkou

Born in Belarus, Vital is a multiple-time European and World champion in Muay Thai and kickboxing. He is also a professional coach for young and adult fighters. Additionally, he is the frontman of the rock band Brutto and a social activist and founder of the Pahonia movement, which is involved in defending Ukraine from the Russian full-scale invasion

Krystsina Tsimanouskaya

Originally from Belarus, Krystsina is a successful Olympian and a multiple-time medal winner at different competitions. Following repression by the Lukashenko regime during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, she fled the country and now represents Poland in track and field athletics. She helped her new team achieve its historically best result in the 2023 World Championships. Krystsina is an advocate for human rights and freedoms

A seasoned sports journalist and editor-in-chief at prestigious media outlets, Andrey thrives in the world of professional sports. Not only is he a TV presenter, documentary filmmaker and high-level fencer, but he also lives and breathes sports. Moreover, he's a staunch advocate for democratic values and the sacred right to free speech

Andrei Chepa

A lawyer with more than 15 years of experience working in different companies, including "Summit Systems Inc." Chief editor of the ABFF newspaper, head of the press office of ABFF, press attache of the national football team of Belarus, head of referee's and observer's department of ABFF. Resigned from his office in protest of fraudulent elections and the ensuing violence of the Belarusian regime.
